For its generous support
The United States has 5 % of the world’s population but 25% of the world’s prisoners.
Close to 70% of the adults in prison today were incarcerated as youth in juvenile detention facilities.
Annual cost per year is close to $125,000, more than twice that Harvard’s tuition.
To assist at-risk youth and reform juvenile justice you can:
Support the Youth Promise Act in Congress
Volunteer in your community with programs similar to Girls and Gangs, A Second Chance, Homeboy Industries
We especially thank the staff of Homeboy Industries and the Homegirls and Homeboys whose courage and transformation inspire us
